Eastpak Icons Multiplied and Remodeled by AVAVAV
Eastpak launches its first-time collaboration with independent fashion house, AVAVAV, with an innovative collection previously revealed at Milan Fashion Week. The collaboration merges the style codes of both brands, drawing on AVAVAV’s luxe streetwear style shaped by creative freedom, humor, and entertainment, as well as Eastpak’s Built to Resist attitude and functionality.
Eastpak’s iconic designs are multiplied and remodeled, resulting in cutting-edge silhouettes incorporating durability and fun, eye-catching details. It all started with the backpack synonymous with Eastpak—the Padded Pak’r. AVAVAV’s creative director, Beate Karlsson, admired its organic shape. Together, the two brands deconstructed and multiplied it to create four new designs defined by unique form and necessary function.
The collection comprises four styles: AV Double Pak’r, AV Reader, AV Bumbag, AV Mini Bag and will be available on June 4th, 2024 globally in selected retail stores and online.
AVAVAV x Eastpak will be available on June 6th at Wrong Weather.
AV Double Pak’r
AVAVAV x Eastpak is seeing double with a collaborative spin on Eastpak’s Padded Pak’r backpack. With two handles and two zippered front pockets, it offers double the function of the original Eastpak design. Additional features include a 16-inch padded laptop sleeve, a built-in organizer with a mesh compartment, a mesh water bottle pocket, and adjustable, padded shoulder straps.
AV Reader
The Eastpak Padded Pak’r backpack multiplies, resulting in a utilitarian duffle bag for weekend adventures. This function-first design features a spacious main compartment with an internal zippered security pocket for stashing valuables and an adjustable shoulder strap. Four backpack-shaped compartments appear on the front of the bag, each with its own zippered or mesh front pocket and carry handle.
AV Bum Bag
The Eastpak Padded Pak’r backpack multiplies and morphs into a utilitarian bum bag crafted from water-resistant fabric. What appears to be three mini backpacks is actually three compartments, each with its own zippered front pocket for stashing small essentials and a carry handle. The adjustable, detachable strap allows you to style it across your body or on your shoulder.
AV Mini Bag
This AVAVAV-inspired signature silhouette with sculpted curves becomes the focal point of any look without compromising functionality. It features water-resistant fabric, protective foam padding, a zippered front pocket with a carry handle, an extra-long reflective zipper, and an adjustable shoulder strap. Sling it over your shoulder, or carry it with the handle, day and night.
The AV Mini Bag is available in Black, White, and Green, with detailed finishes including embroidery on the back panel and a molded metal zipper slider.
