CASABLANCA RESORT 2025 COLLECTION
For Resort 2025, Casablanca maintains its focus on the classical beauty and contemporary allure of ancient Greece, revisited through a more relaxed, intrinsic lens. Creative Director Charaf Tajer homes in on ancient influences throughout Greek iconography and the history of sport, seamlessly fusing these with Casablanca brand codes and showcased through a campaign shot by photographer Pierre- Ange Carlotti, a long-term collaborator of the brand. Carlotti’s point-and-shoot style captures moments frozen in time, the characters’ statuesque poses and stoic gaze mirroring the displays and sculptures of the museum setting and reflecting the aesthetic storytelling codes of the collection.
At Musée Bourdelle in Paris, a fitted navy blazer and shorts are seen against a backdrop of bronzed sculptures; in a burgundy-walled gallery decorated with historic paintings and gilt furniture, models wear slouchy trousers teamed with track jackets and knits, their rich navy and creamy hues reflecting the room’s opulent feel.
Resort 2025 also introduces Casablanca’s first curated holiday focus: in the campaign, a unisex light grey holiday tuxedo blazer with satin lapels is worn over an après sport set. The range also includes an elevated long-sleeved knit polo, updated with a woven metallic brand monogram and finished with pearl buttons, and silk shirt and shorts sets presented in silver and white, an undulating gradient motif tying back to the theme of ancient Greece.
As dusk falls, Carlotti captures the model at the museum, moving through the city, and in a suite at a hotel. Ornate furniture, architraves, and blue-and-white relics act as a foil to a collection that expertly melds relaxed and sporty; the camera flash spotlighting the contrast between metallics and bold primary colours. The brand’s signature silk shirts and mesh pieces showcase ancient Greek columns, temples, and the mesmerising spirit of Eleusis, the legendary Grecian pilgrimage destination, all seen against an inky sky.
