RICK OWENS Flared Bogun Boots

Rick Owens AW23 Flared Bogun Boots in black stretch lamb leather and glaslux, glossy calf leather. These flared bogun are mid thigh-high. They have a tight leather sock upper which widens over the foot creating a volume from knee to toe. They have diagonal seam lines meeting at a point over the knee that slope down to centre back calf. They feature a bogun rubber mega creeper sole with a toothed square heel.

This is a combination of stretch lamb leather and glaslux, glossy calf leather. This stretch lamb leather has a small grain texture and matte finish.

This leather is made by a second generation family owned tannery in the south of France specializing only in stretch leather production. Each skin is stretched out to its limit and bonded to a cotton and lycra fabric backing. When dyed, the heat of the process activates the lycra elastic fibres that shrink the fabric and with it the skin, back to its original size. The leather then exits the process as stretch.
